Dear Confirmation Families,

Here are a few reminders related to your child's Confirmation preparation:

I understand that there have been some significant frustrations related to communication surrounding Confirmation preparation. If you haven't yet seen the letter I wrote in response to your feedback, please read that here.

Please also be sure to check the following dashboard for your child's group of candidates. We created this to provide you with easy access to any reminders, announcements, forms, and resources that you may need to help your child complete their preparation. There is even a section to view copies of emails that were sent to the whole group, in case you didn't receive them (we're finding that many of our group emails are being filtered to spam or blocked):

One of the final requirements for your child is to meet with their sponsor to watch and discuss a set of 4 videos together before Confirmation. Specific instructions for doing this were covered during our recent Sponsor Equipping Meetings- a copy of the guide we provided to them is available on the 2025 Dashboard under "Forms and Resources". If your child's sponsor missed the Sponsor Equipping Meeting and has not yet been in contact with me about making that up, please have them reach out to me.

There are two remaining reflections that we will ask your child to complete before they get confirmed: Discipleship Reflection #3 (The last of 3 surveys about your child's faith) and a Sponsor Meeting Reflection (a 2-page journal reflection on the time spent with their sponsor). Full instructions for completing these reflections will be made available to you via email and the dashboard next week.
